In
July 1997, two years after Eduardo Cohen’s death, the Plastic Arts Department
of Mexico’s National Autonomous University (UNAM) presented a retrospective
exhibition, Eduardo Cohen 1939-1995.
The alms behind a look, featuring
215 of his sketches at the Palacio de Minería in Mexico City. The
show was later exhibited in the city of Toluca’s Modern Art Museum, the
first stop on a nationwide tour of Mexico in 1998. A book-catalog of the
Palacio de Minería exhibition was also published In 1997 under the
auspices of the UNAM. The work shown here is part of the collection featured
in the book.
