You are invited to \u00a0a series of talks on the life and work of the German painter. In the first talk, Eduardo V\u00e1zquez Mart\u00edn, director of Colegio de San Ildefonso, and Gertrudis Zenzes, Ernst Saemisch\u2019s widow and president of the association named after him, will discuss the artist\u2019s life, they will share personal experiences, historical moments the painter lived through, reflections on his work, his influences and art in Germany and Mexico.<\/p>\n
Later, in February, a second talk will feature two experts on Saemisch\u2019s work, Fernando G\u00e1lvez and Carlos Blas Galindo. They will explore the aesthetics and creative processes of Ernst Saemisch, analyzing abstraction and musicality in his paintings.<\/p>\n
On March 15, Mar\u00eda Minera will talk about artistic avant-gardes and their connection to Saemisch\u2019s work. In April, a series of guided tours will be led by Eugenio Caballero, the exhibition\u2019s curator, \u00a0who will share his personal experience with Saemisch\u2019s painting and the process of creating the exhibition.<\/p>\n
In May, the talk series will conclude with Erik Vel\u00e1squez Garc\u00eda, an expert on Mayan culture, who will discuss the influence of pre-Hispanic art on Saemisch\u2019s work.<\/p>\n
